Arriving in a prom car at your end of year party can be both a nervous and exciting moment for everyone involved! Here are some useful tips to help you get the most from your prom car experience.
Firstly, plan ahead! It may sound obvious but this time of year can be a very busy one for limousine and chauffeur car operators so make sure you don't leave things until the last moment! From our experience many students make prom car bookings upto three or four months before the actual event so book early to avoid disappointment. Planning in advance also gives you plenty of time to look around and choose the car that you really want!
Secondly, decide whether you plan to arrive as a date or with a group of friends. Hiring a prom car with a group of friends can be a great way to save money and also allow you to have some on the way there and on the way home. Most stretched limousines are licensed for upto 8 passengers while superstretched limos with a COIF/PSV license can accommodate larger parties of upto 19 guests per journey. Its important to check with each limo operator to ensure that they have the correct license for the cars they are advertising.
If you are travelling with friends make sure you have notified the prom car operator of all of the addreses where a pick up or drop off is required. Arranging for prom car travel from multiple addresses is a fantastic way to ensure everyone travels to and from the prom venue in complete safety, but these arrangements should be made at the time of booking. Any alterations or amendments to your travel details may incur an additional charge from the vehicle operator so, once again, its always best to plan ahead!
Lastly, have plenty of fun but behave responsibly! Your college or school prom should be one of the greatest nights of your life, where you can celebrate your academic year with your friends and prom date. However, you should always remember that any damage caused to your prom car may also result in a charge from the vehicle operator. Damage can include scratches and dents to the bodywork, rips to the seating, broken glasses or residue left on the interior fittings. Everyone in your prom car party should be aware of this prior to travel so noone's prom night ends on a sour note!
